"The music of Jim Gill is sparse, introspective and compelling..." --The Medina Gazette. Never more so than on this 3 song EP written for the Baldwin Wallace College production of the Moises Kaufman play, The Laramie Project. The play chronicles the events surrounding a horrific hate crime in Wyoming. A close friend of the victim sent me this note after seeing the show:
"Just wanted to say thanks again for your wonderful music. It added a great deal to the show, and captured the spirit of Wyoming, and the play, VERY well. I've been listening to the CD on repeat in the car." --Jim Osburn (Friend of Matthew Shepard)

Sky is the much anticipated follow-up to the debut CD with a number of songs that flex the collective muscle of Jim Gill & Friends. The original songwriting is still the engine, but this train gathers some impressive momentum as it steams down the track! Along the way are some beautiful ballads which accent the scenery.
"On Sky, Jim Gill grabs your ear and doesn't let go!"
-- John Soeder, Cleveland Plain Dealer Music Critic
"Everything about this album shows professionalism and care." -- Cleveland Free Times

So Fine is the first release of Jim's music. Like Sky, it features 12 original songs that span a spectrum of storytelling from poignant ballads like the epic, Luckyboy, a song evoking the bitter heartbreak of a coal mining family in Pennsylvania, to a farcical number about a guy outrunning the cops in a hovercraft. Jim recorded and produced the entire CD and played all the instruments, including an old washbasin that his mother had bathed in as a little girl! It's worth it just to hear that!!
